The Bible has a lot to say about how much God loves us.
The most memorized verse in the Bible is John 3:16:
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him."
Over and over the Bible tells of the Holiness of God and the fact that we are born sinners makes it impossible for us to get to Heaven on our own.
The Good News is:
God provided a way for us to have our sins forgiven through His Son Jesus Christ.
Salvation and forgiveness of sin is about receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and recognizing that He has done all the work for us, nothing we can do will earn us Heaven. God's only requirement is for us to confess our sins and, by Faith, receive Jesus Christ as Savior and fully trusting in Him alone as the way of salvation.
